Our basic HIPAA training with certificate is completely free. We only ask that you consider leaving a review and making an optional donation. This helps us keep the training free, release new modules, and maintain our website. Some advanced courses and live training sessions may have a fee.
The basic training is approximately 30 minutes long, including the video modules and quiz.

Yes. Our course covers the HIPAA Privacy Rule, Security Rule, and Breach Notification Rule to ensure compliance with federal requirements.
Yes. Each module includes a short quiz. You must answer all questions correctly to generate your certificate.
The certificate is valid for one year, in accordance with HIPAA training best practices. You will receive a reminder when it is time to renew.
HIPAA Training US covers the foundational HIPAA requirements that apply nationwide. However, Texas has additional training requirements under the Texas Medical Records Privacy Act (HB 300) that go beyond standard HIPAA training. Our sister company, HIPAA Certify, offers a dedicated paid course specifically designed to meet those additional Texas requirements. We recommend completing both our free HIPAA training and the HIPAA Certify HB 300 course for full compliance in Texas.
No. At this time, we do not provide continuing education credits. However, our certificate is widely accepted as proof of HIPAA compliance training.

Yes. We securely store a copy of your certificate. Please note that certificates cannot be edited once generated. Before generating your certificate, please double-check that your first name, last name, and email address are entered correctly. If you have lost your certificate or did not provide an email address at the time of completion, you will need to retake the training. HIPAA Training US is unable to resend certificates.
Employers can verify the authenticity of any HIPAA Training US certificate using our certificate verification tool. Simply enter the certificate details to confirm completion.
Yes. Many healthcare organizations use our free training for individual employees. For teams and larger groups we offer two additional options:
Bulk Employee HIPAA Training allows managers and HR professionals to enroll their entire workforce in HIPAA training at once — up to 300 employees per enrollment. Each employee completes the same accredited training and receives their own certificate upon completion. Visit our Bulk Employee Training page to get started.
Bulk training uses a pay-what-you-like model with a minimum of $20 per enrollment. You choose the amount that works for your organization. Payment is processed securely via credit card at the time of enrollment.
After enrolling your team, you will receive a unique tracking link by email. This link gives you a real-time dashboard showing which employees have completed training, who is in progress, and who has not yet started. You will also receive daily progress reports by email until all employees have completed their training.
Live HIPAA Training consists of instructor-led sessions conducted via Zoom. Sessions range from beginner to executive level and cover HIPAA compliance in depth with real-world scenarios, Q&A, and interactive discussion. Visit our Live Training page to see upcoming sessions and register.
